Terms of Service

Last updated: June 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ReadRom, including readrom.com, related reader features, subscriptions, comments, ratings, and any ReadRom mobile application if offered, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use ReadRom. These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, and any checkout terms shown when you subscribe.

2. Age eligibility

ReadRom is an adults-only service intended for users aged 18 years or older. By accessing ReadRom, using the service, creating an account, or buying a subscription, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and old enough to access mature romance content in your jurisdiction.

If you are under 18, you may not use ReadRom. If we discover that an account belongs to a user under 18, we may block access, suspend or terminate the account, and delete or anonymize associated personal information according to our Privacy Policy, unless legal retention is required.

Parents or guardians who believe a minor has accessed ReadRom may contact support@readrom.com for review and removal requests.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping account access secure, maintaining access to your login email or authentication provider, and providing accurate account information.

Accounts are for personal, non-commercial reading only. This means you may read ReadRom for personal entertainment and ordinary personal research, but you may not resell access, use the service as a content extraction source, operate a competing content database, bulk-copy material, or commercially exploit ReadRom content without written permission.

You may not sell, transfer, rent, sublicense, or share account access. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless the activity results from a security issue caused by ReadRom.

4. Account deletion and termination

You may request deletion of your ReadRom account by emailing support@readrom.com from the email address associated with your account, or by providing enough information for us to verify the account.

After a verified deletion request or account closure, we will delete or anonymize personal information according to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy. Account records are generally deactivated for up to 6 months, then permanently deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, payment, security, dispute, backup, or legal reasons.

Deleting an account may remove access to reading history, comments, ratings, subscription state, and account-linked features. Some public interactions may be removed, anonymized, or retained where legally necessary or technically required for platform integrity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create legal risk, attempt to bypass access controls, abuse other users, or misuse ReadRom.

5. Content and intellectual property

Stories, chapters, text, artwork, cover images, character images, logos, design, metadata, recommendations, and other creative or platform content on ReadRom are owned by ReadRom or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Some content may be created, edited, or assisted using artificial intelligence tools and human editorial processes. ReadRom remains responsible for the final publication and presentation of content on the service.

You may read available content for personal enjoyment only. You may not copy, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, scrape, bulk-download, sell, sublicense, reproduce, create unauthorized derivative works from, or otherwise exploit ReadRom content without written permission.

You may not use ReadRom content, user interactions, metadata, or platform outputs to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, or build artificial intelligence models, datasets, embeddings, search indexes, recommendation systems, or competing products without written permission. This restriction applies to automated collection and manual collection done for machine-learning or dataset-building purposes.

Nothing in these terms prevents uses that applicable law expressly permits and cannot be waived, such as certain fair dealing, fair use, quotation, accessibility, or educational uses where legally available.

6. Copyright infringement

ReadRom respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on ReadRom infringes your copyright or other rights, send a written notice to support@readrom.com.

Your notice should include: identification of the copyrighted work or rights claimed; identification of the material you believe is infringing and where it appears on ReadRom; your name, email address, and contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material, notify the relevant user where appropriate, review counter-notices where legally available, and terminate repeat infringers. Misrepresenting infringement may create legal liability.

7. Free access, subscriptions, trials, and promotions

ReadRom may offer free reading access, free monthly allowances, trials, promotional pricing, coupons, discounts, and paid subscription plans. The price, currency, renewal timing, trial duration, promotional period, included access, and any auto-renewal terms are shown before purchase or in the relevant offer.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay unless a different plan, billing provider, or app-store checkout is shown at checkout. If a trial or promotion converts to a paid subscription, the conversion timing and price will be disclosed before you accept the offer.

Promotional pricing may be limited to eligible users, regions, payment methods, or time periods. After a promotion ends, your subscription may renew at the standard price shown in the offer unless you cancel before renewal.

Gift subscriptions, family sharing, offline downloads, or similar features are not available unless ReadRom expressly offers them. If introduced, additional terms may apply.

8. Renewals, cancellation, and refunds

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled unless the checkout flow states otherwise. You can cancel before the next billing date to avoid future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until that period ends unless otherwise stated.

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. If consumer protection laws in your location give you rights that cannot be waived, these terms do not limit those rights. For US users, refund and cancellation rights may vary by state and will be honored where applicable.

If a prolonged service outage materially prevents paid subscribers from accessing paid content, we may provide a refund, credit, extension, or other remedy where required by law or where we determine it is appropriate.

9. Mobile applications and app stores

If ReadRom is offered through iOS or Android apps, your use of the app is also subject to the Apple App Store, Google Play, device manufacturer, and operating-system terms that apply to your device and app-store account.

In-app purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, Razorpay, or another provider shown at checkout. Billing, cancellation, refunds, taxes, family sharing, and subscription management may depend on the checkout provider you use.

Push notifications, if offered, can be disabled in your device settings or in-app settings where available. App updates may be required for security, compatibility, payment, or feature reasons, and some older versions may stop working.

Offline downloads, if offered, are for personal reading only, may be limited by device, region, subscription status, or technical protections, and may expire or be revoked when your subscription ends or when rights or legal requirements change.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse ReadRom or help anyone else misuse it.

  • Do not bypass paywalls, age gates, subscriptions, rate limits, account controls, or security measures.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, mirror, copy, or extract content or data except as expressly allowed by ReadRom.
  • Do not use ReadRom content or data to train models, build datasets, create competing services, or automate content harvesting.
  • Do not upload, post, or transmit unlawful, infringing, abusive, harassing, hateful, misleading, spammy, sexually exploitative, malware-related, or privacy-invasive material.
  • Do not interfere with service availability, reverse engineer non-public systems, probe vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or use ReadRom for fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, or illegal activity.

11. User content

ReadRom does not currently host user-submitted stories or writer uploads. User content on ReadRom is limited to comments, ratings, likes, reviews, support messages, and similar interactions where available.

If you post comments, ratings, reviews, or other user content, you remain responsible for it and must have the rights needed to submit it. You must not post unlawful, infringing, abusive, misleading, confidential, or privacy-invasive material.

You grant ReadRom a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, moderate, remove, and technically process your user content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote ReadRom. This includes sublicensing to service providers such as hosting, database, analytics, moderation, and support vendors solely as needed to provide services to ReadRom.

This license ends when the user content is deleted from active systems, except that it continues for backup copies, legal or security records, anonymized or aggregated materials, and technically necessary records retained for platform integrity. To the extent permitted by law, you waive moral rights or similar rights that would prevent ReadRom from formatting, moderating, removing, or displaying user content as described here.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how ReadRom collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information, and how you can manage consent and privacy choices.

ReadRom does not use user personal information to train public artificial intelligence models. We may use internal or third-party AI tools for editorial assistance, support, moderation support, recommendations, content organization, or operations. If personal information is processed by those tools, we will handle it according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

13. Third-party services and links

ReadRom may link to or integrate third-party services, including payment processors, authentication providers, app stores, analytics providers, social sharing services, or external websites.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. ReadRom is not responsible for third-party websites, payment networks, app stores, external content, or services we do not control.

14. Service changes, interruptions, and force majeure

We may add, remove, suspend, or change features, books, pricing, subscription plans, apps, regions, or access rules. If a material change affects an active paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

ReadRom is provided through internet, hosting, payment, authentication, and device ecosystems that may experience downtime or errors. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of every title or feature.

We are not responsible for delays, failures, data loss, non-performance, or service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, payment network failures, app-store issues, cyberattacks, labor disputes, natural disasters, governmental actions, legal restrictions, war, public emergencies, or other force majeure events.

15. Disclaimers

ReadRom is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will meet your expectations, that every title will remain available permanently, that recommendations will be accurate, or that all errors will be corrected.

Content warnings, ratings, heat levels, tags, tropes, and summaries are provided to help readers make choices, but they may be incomplete or subjective. You are responsible for deciding whether content is appropriate for you.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReadRom is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, device issues, or unauthorized access arising from or related to your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.

17. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold ReadRom and its operators, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of ReadRom, violation of these terms, infringement of rights, unlawful user content, payment abuse, or violation of applicable law.

This obligation does not apply where the claim is caused by ReadRom's own unlawful conduct or where applicable consumer law prohibits such an obligation.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, except where mandatory consumer laws provide otherwise.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, these terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the site, app, email, checkout flow, or another reasonable method where required.

The Last updated date at the top of this page shows when these terms were most recently revised. Continued use of ReadRom after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.

20. Severability, waiver, assignment, and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If ReadRom does not enforce a provision immediately, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not assign or transfer your account or rights under these terms without our consent. ReadRom may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

These terms, together with the policies and terms linked from them, form the entire agreement between you and ReadRom for use of the service.
