James and Sophie say their vows. Ellie photographs it all through a lens that is, by the final moment, slightly blurred. Leo watches her, not the ceremony. She knows.
Chapter Nine: The Reception
The reception. The dance — tension only. Then Cara tells Ellie what she saw on Leo's phone. Ellie walks away from the courtyard before the kiss. The dark moment. He comes after her in the rain — not to argue, but with the brochure in his pocket. She has to choose.
Chapter Ten: The Rain
The full reckoning. The three-line note. The Lisbon commission revealed — his proof that he learned. She says I love you and means it. The night they spend together: the bridge scene.
Chapter Eleven: The Morning After
The morning after. Sunlight on Tuscan stone. The olive grove. He asks her properly, as promised. She says yes — and means it completely, and takes his photograph.

Six months later. Bermondsey. An editing room, a second coffee press, and a print on the wall of a rain-wet courtyard. The quiet, extraordinary, ordinary middle of something good.
